Job Title: Welder I

Entry-Level Production Welder – Training Provided

1) Welder 1 – Primary Duties or Functions:
a) Immediately notify the Production Manager of any safety issue or problem.
b) Weld components according to company, customer, and engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
c) Primarily operate automated welding equipment and air arc systems. Training is provided to operate this equipment.
d) Learn company welding processes as needed, including the use of portable welding equipment for field welding at customer sites.
e) Maintain all equipment as per manufacturer or company schedules, or as directed. Immediately notify management of any equipment that needs attention.
f) Assist in the development of written process documentation as required and directed.
g) Keep production areas and any other work areas safe, clean and organized.
h) Make recommendations for tooling, fixturing, process requirements and/or equipment needs. This will be based upon procedures and company or customer requirements.
i) Shift work and/or travel will be required depending upon customer needs and per company discretion.
j) Safely handle parts and materials with appropriate industrial trucks, hoists, overhead cranes and associated rigging.
k) All RPM employees will conduct themselves in a mature, respectful and professional manner.
l) Follow all RPM policies, programs and procedures.
2) Welder 1 – Additional Duties or Functions:
a) Work with manufacturing and engineering to determine welding requirements, as required.
b) Keep Production Manager advised of usage and reorder requirements for consumables and materials utilizing company purchase order system.
c) Assist management in employee training.
d) Perform other duties as required and directed.
3) Welder I – Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
a) No prior welding experience is required; this is an entry-level welding position with training provided.
b) No welding certifications are required for this position.
c) Must be able to understand and accurately follow through on verbal directions.
d) Must be able to read, interpret and accurately follow through on written work directions.
e) Must have a valid driver’s license.
4) Welder I – Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
a) Must be able to frequently lift, carry and/or position up to 50 pounds, as required.
b) Safety glasses, non-marring steel toe boots and hearing protection required in production areas.
c) RPM and Associates, Inc. operates a smoke-free and drug-free facility.
d) There may be some bending and crawling. Employees may have to stand on feet for hours at a time.

Schedule:
